Will Property bro share my personal information with anyone?
Never. The information you submit is used only for your user account verification. It will never be shared with anyone within Property bro or outside. We are, however, obligated to share your information with authorities as per prevailing rules and regulations.
I shared my Property bro password/OTP with someone?
We suggest you immediately reset the password of your Property bro account and report the issue by calling our safety helpline +91-9595637199 or please click here to write to us. (Please ensure that you are calling from your registered Property bro mobile number.)
Property bro never asks for your credentials such as your password or OTP. We advise our customers to completely ignore such communications and report these cases by reaching out to us via the contact details above.
If unauthorized activity has happened on your Property bro account, please provide the details mentioned below along with a complete case summary:
1- Caller/fraudster number from which you got the call asking for the OTP/password
2- Registered mobile number
3- Any other activity, such as the Ad ID of the ad posted by the fraudster on your account, or details of the potential ads/sellers that the fraudster has reached out to through your account
We also recommend you file a complaint with the nearest Cybercrime department. Meanwhile, we will investigate your case and help you take all necessary actions.
How to safely use Property bro and protect oneself from fraud?
- Meeting face-to-face: Always insist on meeting with the buyer personally and exchanging your item for money. Use a safe location to meet.
- Chat Conversation: For a safer transaction, try using the Property bro chat option. Avoid other channels like WhatsApp, Skype, or external messengers.
- Avoid partial payments: Take the full payment decided mutually at the time of delivering the item to the buyer.
- Payment Method: Watch out for fake currency and payment link scams.
- Buyer’s Personal Information: Verify the buyer’s details if there is a bulk order request, such as asking for a photo ID and proof of address.
- Realistic product description: Ensure your item meets the features you list in your ad.
- Personal information: Don’t share private details or financial information except what is absolutely necessary.
How can I block a seller from sending messages?
You no longer want to receive messages from a seller? No issues, simply block the user and save yourself from unwanted chats.
Note: This is different from reporting a seller, which helps Property bro take appropriate action based on your complaint.
I am a victim of fraud?
First, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. If you have experienced fraud, please follow these steps:
• Without delay, file a complaint with the relevant legal authorities (local cyber cell or file an FIR at your local police station).
• Report the scammer or the ad to us on the App or Web, or write to us at propertybro.in@gmail.com.
• Keep all relevant information handy, such as payment proofs, chat history, and call recordings.
